High Life Highland’s Countryside Ranger team in the North of the Highland region, is calling out for a nature enthusiast to embrace the role of a East Caithness Countryside Ranger. This is more than a job; it's a chance to be at the forefront of environmental stewardship, education, and community engagement in one of Scotland's most picturesque locales.
As a Countryside Ranger based out of the Seadrift Centre in Dunnet Head, you'll become the custodian of East Caithness's natural beauty. Your days will be spent under vast skies and amidst the raw, unspoiled landscapes that define the Highlands. The role is part-time, 19 hours a week spread across Monday to Wednesday, with occassional weekends, offering a balance of work and personal time to enjoy the very environment you'll help protect.
Based at Seadrift Centre, Dunnet Head
19 hrs per week, £29,047 – £32,359 pro rata

This role is has a variety of tasks and responsibilities, ensuring you will never be bored. From monitoring the health of our countryside sites to crafting educational programmes to deliver in local schools, your job will be as varied as the landscapes you oversee. You'll champion biodiversity, lead conservation efforts, and foster a deeper appreciation of nature within the local community.
