How upgrading to a paid subscription to support our work in communities benefits us all

Since November 2023, when we launched the online publication Nature Unveiled , we have been dedicated to bringing you the very best in nature storytelling.

We have set out to provide insights and glimpses into the ecology of the Scottish Highlands, and the heritage of this amazing area. We've aimed to give you an opportunity to learn a bit more about the natural world, that we all cherish and protect, and hopefully entertain you a little along the way.

With 168 articles now online and almost 500 subscribers, it looks like our audience is still growing.

Articles have focused on fascinating wildlife encounters we’ve had in the course of our role and interesting heritage features and species highlights. We also wanted to showcase for you, the incredible breadth of work we do here within the High Life Highland Ranger Service, from conservation work we have co-ordinated with local communities up and down the region, to the important work educating the public about climate change and biodiversity loss.

For just £3.50 per month or £25 a year, your contribution helps ensure that we continue sharing the importance of nature and having an impact for nature through education and direct action - locally to the Highland region.

Take, for example, our recent work with the establishment of Barn Owls at Stoer. These incredible creatures have faced a tough year. A shortage of field voles and unpredictable weather have made it a challenge for their parents to find enough food. Yet, despite these difficulties, we're thrilled to report that one of the chicks has fledged this month from one of the nesting boxes our supporter donations helped to fund!

This success story is really only possible thanks to the support of readers like you, helping our service thrive.

Your support will help us and communities deliver more projects like this one that make a real difference for nature recovery on the ground, and we will continue to bring you those stories that keep you connected to our work.
